This version of "The Little Prince" is in Pennsylfaanisch Deitsch, or "Pennsylvania German". To me, each language is like a genre of music, each offering a different way to feel the world, and it has been nothing but a joy to start learning this language! On that note, Douglas Madenford has been a huge aid in learning, so thank you also, Doug!

So, although I am very new to Pennsylfaanisch Deitsch, I thought I would try to record it ennihau, because I am still very familiar with the story. It seemed this would be more valuable than recording in any other language; I do not think a recording exists yet in Pennsylfaanisch Deitsch, and as such I thought it would be a gift I could give to the community of Pennsylfaanisch Deitsch speakers, who do not have many audiobooks recorded in their language (as of yet!).

In closing, there are surely many funny pronunciations and creative phrasing throughout...I hope that all of those fluent speakers out there will forgive me!

And lastly, I hope this recording helps you as it helped me.
